9:30am - EC Office

India has long been known for its diverse and bustling population, with over 2,500 distinct people groups among its over 1 billion citizens. Get out of your box and take the trip of a lifetime to this cultural hub of the world!

In India, there still is much discrimination based on caste – particularly among rural populations – and female infanticide is not uncommon. EC will partner with one of its local ministry partners, Mahalir Aran Trust (India Women's Fortress), who provide a refuge for destitute women and children near Dharmapuri. In addition to providing emotional support, counselling, and spiritual discipleship, MAT offers skills training and employment opportunities to their residents and other local women in need.

On this trip you will have the opportunity to serve alongside MAT’s staff and volunteers as you facilitate children’s activities and devotions, visit with and minister to the resident mothers and elderly women, provide facility repairs and maintenance, and even get your hands dirty on the farm.

What are the accommodations?
- Your team will be staying in a modest guest house which will be clean, safe, and basic.

What will we eat?
- You will be eating traditional Indian food including rice, veg, curries, and other spices.
