About this Project

Trip Focus: Kids ministry, basic construction and maintenance

We are taking a team of volunteers on an exciting trip to Mexico in partnership with Door of Faith Orphanage (DOFO) located on the Baja peninsula. DOFO supports 100 orphaned children and provides a safe and loving home for each of them and they support the local community through housing, training and support.

As part of the volunteer team, you will have the opportunity to help with some basic projects around the site possibly including, painting, maintenance and more! You will also spend time with the resident children and give them a chance to have some fun with some games and activities. You may also get to help with some meal prep and service for the residents.

What are the accommodations? 
Accommodations will be clean, safe, and basic. Teams typically stay in bunk-house style guest houses onsite.

What will we eat? 
Amazing local Mexican food.

What does the trip cost include? 
The trip cost covers the flight, ministry supplies, transportation, lodging, and meals on the ground. It does not include passport fees, immunizations, snacks, meals in the airport, or souvenirs.

REQUIREMENTs

  • Attend all team meetings

  • Meet all payment deadline requirements*

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older or age 14-17 with parent/guardian accompaniment

PAYMENT Milestones

  • $200 commitment deposit due March 15, 2024

  • Milestone 1 due April 15, 2024 - $700 This will bring your account balance to $900

  • Milestone 2 due May 15, 2024 - $700 This will bring your account balance to $1,600

  • Milestone 3 due June 15, 2024 - $600 Final payment to bring your account balance to $2,200

*Payment deadlines must be met in order to participate in this trip.  Therefore, payments are non-refundable, and failure to meet the deadlines will result in the removal of a team member and/or the cancellation of the trip.
